Our vision in the Association of Danish Birth Photographers is to demystify births and create security for pregnant women who want to invite a serious birth photographer to their birth. At the same time, we want to support Danish birth photographers in such a way that we can work together to demystify both births and birth photography here in Denmark
why invite a birth photographer?
A birth is one of the most intimate moments in life. But it is also the greatest moment in life.
Inviting a birth photographer is a completely unique way in which you can capture this moment in life – the arrival of your little one in the world.
The photos will help you travel back in time, process what happened and juxtapose the big moments you remember with the little moments you don’t.

“A week before I was due to give birth, I suggested to my husband to use a birth photographer. I didn’t know there was a birth photographer and so close to the birth it was hard to imagine another person in the room. Soon my daughter will be a year old and the memories will come back. I wish we had had a birth photographer with us. Then I wanted pictures from different angles, of us together and the first time our oldest daughter met her little sister. In retrospect, I was not at all preoccupied with others during the birth. It would only have been a great pleasure to have documented the entire process. I wish we had called and had the first talk – then maybe I would have been ready even though it was so close to the birth”. – MANJA
